Using the wrong cleaning product can damage finishes faster than normal use.

What should be checked?

• Follow the care label and avoid chemicals unsuitable for the fabric or finish.
• Periodically check mattresses for support-base issues, sagging and ventilation.
• On sofas and office chairs, inspect joints, legs, castors and moving mechanisms for looseness.
• Treat spills promptly with a method suitable for the material.
• Limit prolonged exposure to strong sunlight and heat sources such as radiators.
• If adjustable furniture develops noise, play or resistance, inspect the mechanism and fasteners.
